Juley and Josh Are Engaged | A South Coast Couple Photo Shoot
Juley and Josh are engaged.
I will never forget the first time I met Juley. It was the 1 August 2017, the start of the last month of winter. I love winter as the golden colour in the sky at sunrise and sunset is amazing. I left home at 04hoo and drove through to Umhlanga where we had planned to do a sunrise photo shoot with my friend, David Louw. The sunrise was spectacular , but a north easterly wind was blowing and it was rather chilly. This did not stop Juley, I remember at times during the shoot she was covered in goosebumps, but she did not complain or moan. She brought her “A game” and the results were outstanding. We become friends and I have had the privilege of working with her on a few different shoots.
In 2018, Juley booked me for her brother wedding that took place in Scottburgh. (I don’t know why I never blogged about Jeff and Chanel’s wedding – I will do that in the next day or so).
Anyway, enough of how we met, you are here to find out more about Juley and Josh.
They have known each other for many years, they met 17 years ago in grade 4 – primary school. Obviously still children, they became friends. Six years ago, they fell madly in love with each other. They both love the outdoors and both work on a yacht overseas. So when Juley messaged me on the 12 March saying …”Guess what………………….we’re engaged!”, I was over the moon. I love these two, in fact, I have met Juley’s entire family and love them all.
So when Juley and Josh contacted me for a couple photo shoot, I was very excited. Obviously having worked with Juley before, I knew that she would be amazing. I had not worked with Josh, but I knew that with the right guidance, he would be great in front of the camera. After some planning, we decide to meet in Hibberdene on the South Coast. Now Hibberdene is your typical holiday dorpie. Not much goes on in Hibberdene. There are a few shops, holiday accommodation and the beach. A perfect getaway destination.
Having grown up in the town, I knew of a few spots we could take great photos. We had planned to start off on the beach, but the easterly wind was howling and we had to change plans slightly. We went to a grass opening at the back of Hibberdene and I let Juley and Josh express their love for one another.
With Juley being a model, we planned to do some fashion type photos. I am inspired by fashion and beauty.
And then being autumn, the sunsets are just amazing.
Thank you Juley and Josh for allowing me to create memories for you. I am so looking forward to our next photo shoot.
Love you guys!
